Frequently Asked Questions
How do I import custom alarm sounds?
There are two ways to import custom sounds:
- In-app: Open alarm editor → Tap "Sound" → Select "Import Audio File" → Choose a CAF, WAV, or AIFF file
- Files app: Long-press your audio file → "Open With" → Select RemindClock
Note: Audio files must be under 30 seconds. MP3 and M4A formats are not supported by AlarmKit.
How do I set up recurring alarms?
When creating or editing an alarm, tap "Repeat" to access these options:
- Weekly: Select any combination of days (Mon, Wed, Fri, etc.)
- Interval: Every X days or weeks (e.g., every 2 days)
- Monthly by date: Same day each month (e.g., the 15th)
- Monthly by pattern: Nth weekday (e.g., 2nd Monday of each month)
Why isn't my alarm ringing?
Please check the following:
- Ensure Critical Alerts permission is granted (Settings → RemindClock → Notifications)
- Verify the alarm toggle is enabled (green)
- Check your device volume is not at zero
- Try restarting your device
- Make sure the alarm time hasn't already passed
How do I enable Critical Alerts?
When you first launch RemindClock, you'll be prompted to allow notifications. Grant permission for Critical Alerts to ensure alarms ring even in Silent Mode or Focus Mode.
You can also enable this manually: Settings → RemindClock → Notifications → Critical Alerts
How do I add widgets?
Home Screen widgets:
- Long-press your Home Screen
- Tap the "+" button in the top corner
- Search for "RemindClock"
- Choose Small, Medium, or Large size
Lock Screen widgets:
- Long-press your Lock Screen
- Tap "Customize"
- Add RemindClock widgets to the widget area
How do I use Siri with RemindClock?
Try these voice commands:
- "Hey Siri, set an alarm for 7 AM with RemindClock"
- "Hey Siri, create an alarm with RemindClock"
- "Hey Siri, remind me at 3 PM with RemindClock"
What audio formats are supported?
RemindClock supports the following formats for custom alarm sounds:
- CAF (Core Audio Format) - Recommended
- WAV (Waveform Audio)
- AIFF (Audio Interchange File Format)
Not supported: MP3, M4A, AAC, OGG (AlarmKit limitation)
How do I export or backup my alarms?
Go to Settings → Data Management → Export Alarms. Your alarm data will be saved as a JSON file that you can share or backup.
To restore: Settings → Data Management → Import Alarms
